ERA upvc Door Lock (Central Gearbox only)

Central Gearbox Lock Specification:
Spindle to key: 92mm
Backset: 35, 45mm
Lever Lever or Lever Pad locking operation
1 centre latch,
1 deadbolt

The centre latch can be handed LH or RH by removing and turning it.

Why pay a locksmith over £200 to change this gearbox? Just remove the strip from the door by first removing the handles and the cylinder lock and the screws that hold the strip to the side of the door. then remove the case screws that hold the gearbox onto the locking strip, swap the gearbox, and put the whole thing back in the door. Simple 15 min job, all you need is a screw driver.

This case will replace the gearboxes on ERA plastic upvc doors and the newer Composite Wooden type doors, the strips are all different widths and have different hooks rollers bolts ect. but they use exactly the same gearbox to opperate the mechanism.  A common way to identify which make of lock you have is to look on the locking strip when the door is open, it should have the makers name on it.

Please state what backset you require 35mm or 45mm (see diagram) otherwise 45mm will be sent as this is the most common size.
